A few months ago I was pondering what theme I would do for my little girl’s 3rd birthday party. I was well and truly stuck for ideas. So I asked her and she said ‘bunnies!’ — I couldn’t have been more thrilled with her choice. My little one loves bunnies — she has a few bunny comforters from when she was a baby, and she just adores them.
When I started thinking about all the necessary party peripherals, I took inspiration from her Peter Rabbit story books, and thought about introducing a vegie patch garden for her bunny to live in. I also didn’t want to give a truck-load of lollies to her and her little friends, either on the day or in their take home goodie bags, so the vegie patch idea gave me license to serve lots of healthy things!
Over the coming weeks I’ll be popping up posts with free download printables, how-to’s and recipes for the cake, some garden-themed macarons, decorations and a kid’s activity. So stay tuned!
The goodie bag
- Box with carry handle, named with black ink and alphabet stamps.
- Kids gardening gloves (I purchased mine from Bunnings hardware).
- Jelly Belly Peas and Carrots.
- Seed packets (free printable).
- Vegie patch garden markers (how-to coming soon).
